About Us

At the 11th hour clinic, we provide specialised psychology services for individuals facing psychological distress, pain, injury, and major life transitions. Whether you're navigating physical recovery, trauma, burnout, or change, our mission is to support you in reclaiming your function, wellbeing, and sense of purpose.

Why "11th HR"?

The name “11th HR” is inspired by the phrase “the 11th hour”, a term often used to describe critical, last-minute turning points. Many of our clients come to us after trying multiple treatments, feeling like they’re out of time or out of options. At the 11th hour clinic, we believe healing is possible even when it looks like all is lost. We exist to provide expert, compassionate, and coordinated care when it matters most, whether you're just beginning your journey or seeking help after many setbacks.

Who we help

At the 11th hour clinic, we work with people experiencing challenges that affect both wellbeing and work. Our services are designed to provide practical, evidence-based support for recovery, resilience, and adjustment.

We commonly assist with:

  • Mental health concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, or burnout
  • Injury and recovery including musculoskeletal injury, chronic pain, and delayed rehabilitation
  • Psychological impacts of workplace experiences such as bullying, harassment, or trauma
  • Adjustment after critical incidents at work or in the community
  • Veterans’ health and wellbeing, including stress, resilience, and daily functioning
  • Workplace challenges including conflict, performance pressure, or occupational stress
  • Life transitions, such as:
    • Moving from school to work or adjusting to university
    • Returning to work after illness or injury
    • Mid-career reinvention
    • Retirement preparation and adjustment

Whether you’re managing the impact of an injury, workplace stress, or a major life change, our goal is to support you in moving forward with clarity, resilience, and confidence.

Support Through Life’s Transitions

We understand that both physical and emotional wellbeing are deeply shaped by life changes.

Our clients often include:

  • Young people stepping into study, work, or independence
  • Adults returning to the workforce or seeking a new career direction
  • Older adults navigating retirement, identity changes, or shifts in daily functioning
  • Individuals experiencing conflict or interpersonal challenges at school, university, or in the workplace

Our psychologists and coaches provide tailored support through counselling, coaching, or functional rehabilitation, helping you navigate transitions with confidence and resilience.

Our Approach: the Bio Psycho Social model

We use a
biopsychosocial model that recognises pain, recovery, and wellbeing as multidimensional. Our assessments and interventions consider:

  • Biological: injury, fatigue, nervous system function
  • Psychological: trauma, mood, beliefs, and behaviour
  • Social: work, roles, identity, family, and life stage

This integrated framework helps us treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Our Values

  • Integrity: We’re transparent, ethical, and evidence-based
  • Empowerment: We equip people to take charge of their recovery
  • Compassion: We listen deeply and act with care
  • Collaboration: We work as a team, across disciplines and systems
  • Innovation: We apply the latest research in psychology, human resources and recovery science
