About Us
At the 11th HR Clinic, we provide specialised psychology services for individuals facing psychological distress, pain, injury, and major life transitions. Whether you're navigating physical recovery, trauma, burnout, or change, our mission is to support you in reclaiming your function, wellbeing, and sense of purpose.
Why "11th HR"?
The name “11th HR” is inspired by the phrase “the 11th hour”, a term often used to describe critical, last-minute turning points. Many of our clients come to us after trying multiple treatments, feeling like they’re out of time or out of options. At the 11th HR clinic, we believe healing is possible even when it looks like all is lost. We exist to provide expert, compassionate, and coordinated care when it matters most, whether you're just beginning your journey or seeking help after many setbacks.

Whether you're facing chronic pain, a hostile work environment, or the stress of transition, we provide tailored support to move you forward.
Support Through Life’s Transitions
We recognise that physical and emotional wellbeing are deeply affected by life changes. Some of our usual clients are:
- Young people transitioning into study, employment, or independence
- Individuals returning to the workforce or exploring vocational change
- Older adults navigating retirement, identity loss, or functional decline
- Individuals impacted by conflict or interpersonal difficulties in school, university, or the workplace
Our team provides psychological support, coaching, and functional rehabilitation to help individuals manage these changes with confidence.
Our Approach: the Bio Psycho Social model
We use a
biopsychosocial model that recognises pain, recovery, and wellbeing as multidimensional. Our assessments and interventions consider:
- Biological: injury, fatigue, nervous system function
- Psychological: trauma, mood, beliefs, and behaviour
- Social: work, roles, identity, family, and life stage
This integrated framework helps us treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.
Our Values
- Integrity: We’re transparent, ethical, and evidence-based
- Empowerment: We equip people to take charge of their recovery
- Compassion: We listen deeply and act with care
- Collaboration: We work as a team, across disciplines and systems
- Innovation: We apply the latest research in psychology, human resources and recovery science
Founded by Dr Candice Quinn
The 11th HR clinic was founded by
Dr Candice Quinn, a registered psychologist and workplace coach with extensive experience in trauma-informed care, organisational wellbeing, and human recovery. Dr Quinn established the clinic to respond to the needs of individuals and organisations facing critical, high-stakes challenges where traditional mental health services often fall short.
