What is Occupational Psychology?

Occupational psychology, also known as industrial-organisational (I-O) psychology, is the scientific study of human behavior in the workplace and other organisational settings.  It focuses on understanding, predicting, and improving the performance, well-being, and satisfaction of employees and the effectiveness of organisations. The term Occupational Psychologist is a chartered title in the UK, whilst in Australia, the term Organisational Psychologist is a protected title under law.

At our core we focus on positive psychology interventions, to assist people with strength based interventions, as opposed to illness focused interventions.

Our goals are to make organisations more efficient and productive, to improve the quality of work life for employees and those seeking meaningful work, and to foster healthy, inclusive, and equitable workplaces.
